Welcome to the International Corporate Identity Group (ICIG)
The International Corporate Identity Group (ICIG) was founded in 1994 and formally launched at the House of Lords in London in January 1996. Professor John Balmer is the ICIG Chairman and its founder and he has individually and collaboratively organised annual symposia with ICIG colleagues since its launch.
Today we are a diverse and informal community of scholars and business professionals. Our members and supporters hail from various disciplines and industries. We share a common interest in advancing knowledge and influencing practice in the domain where research, scholarship, and best-practice is focused upon an integration of the interrelated corporate/organisation-level concepts of identity, image, reputation, culture, corporate social responsibility (CSR) through marketing, branding and communication. Such an integration represents a relatively new phase of strategic communication and marketing thought which has been termed corporate/organisational marketing.
By browsing through these pages you can learn more about the ICIG; our (past and present) activities, contributions and the relevance of our field of study for organisations of all sorts (commercial, public and civic). In the video below members share their thoughts on the ICIG and the 2016 ICIG symposium.
In our blog you can read about our latest thinking and reflections on the latest developments and issues in the area. Please be invited to join the conversation.
